A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon.
In India, a lunar eclipse will occur on the night of September 7-8, 2025.

The eclipse will begin at 9:55 PM on September 7 and will end at 11:46 PM.
The eclipse will completely end by 1:28 AM on September 8.
The lunar eclipse can be seen from these cities in India:

Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Lucknow
Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi
Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Pune
Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati
Bhopal, Nagpur, and Raipur

When the Moon enters the Earth’s darkest shadow,
the Moon appears reddish or copper-colored during this time,
which is also called a “blood moon.”
This is called a total lunar eclipse.
